Message So last night on the way home from work my engine started getting a little more rickity than usual. I experimented with it a bit and thought it may be the VTC getting worse. It went away on decel/accel just like the VTC, but wat apparent at cruise.

I decided to try and limp home and check what was going on the next day. It was the loudest noise thats ever come from this car. I knew the oil level was fine (just topped of the day before). Had good oil pressure (60 psi at 3k rpm) and temp was pegged in the middle like usual.

So I continue up interstate 95 at about 55 with my flashers on not wanting to test the new noise out.

Got about 2 miles from work before my car started getting sluggish. Slowed down a bit more to about 2k rpm and kept limping along. Not more than 15 seconds later the engine starts vibrating really bad and... boom. Everything dies.

Got to the side of the road and had my brother start this way with a trailer.

Walked back along the path I came and there was liquid all over. I thought it might be coolant because the steam/smoke but apparently it was every bit of my oil.

Dip stick looks frothy after I checked. Engine wouldnt crank over at all afterwards.

I'm thinking it blew a head gasket.

Any opinions on what it might be and if it might be worth repairing this engine or getting a new engine/car?

Thanks

-Steven
